Free Trade
Successive New
Zealand governments have for many years been very strong supporters
of Free Global Trade. The first major agreement to be entered into
was the CER (Closer Economic Relations) Agreement. Over the years
the original Agreement has been strengthened and broadened. It is
currently going through a stage where financial type legislation
between the 2 countries is being harmonized.
New Zealand trade
negotiators have for many years had a favourable impact upon trade
and tariff structures in Great Britain and the EU leading to
something of a move towards a level playing field bound to help the
supply and living costs of the majority of the populations of those
countries.
Mike Moore, a
former New Zealand Prime Minister, further showed the determination
of New Zealand to increase Free Trade around the world when he was
appointed to the top job in the World Trade Organization.
Perhaps the most
significant Free Trade Agreement to date has been the China New
Zealand Agreement. It is the first such Agreement entered into by
China and offers good potential to entrepreneurs and countries
alike.
Further Free Trade
Agreements continue to be discussed with countries such as Chile,
Singapore and USA.
This admirable
attitude builds a strong and compelling case for you to benefit by
taking advantage of the agreements thus negotiated.
