Required Documents from Clients

1.  A soft copy of the trademark. Four black and white prints as well as fifteen color prints are required when a trademark is in color;

2.  A detailed list of products or services to be covered and the class(es) to be registered in the application;

3.  A copy of Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate or anything of similar nature which shows the name and address of the applicant. A copy of passport and recent residential address proof in case the applicant is an individual;

4.  A priority document when priority is claimed. The document can be filed within 6 months after the filing date of the application;

5.  An original copy of the signed Power of Attorney. The Power of Attorney will be prepared by us for clients’ signing.

 

Note: The official language in China is Chinese. The list of products and services, the name and address of the applicant must be translated into Chinese for the registration purpose if they are in other languages. Clients can engage Global Finnet to do the translation at their expense.

Timescale

Currently it is taking approximately 24-30 months to get a trademark registered in China for smooth applications.
