Fees: The above quotation has covered the official
filing fee. While exclusive of delivery fee. The above quotation is
only for smooth applications.
Note 1: Pre-filing search here is limited to search
performed on the USPTO database only.
Note 2: There are three ways to file a Trademark
Registration in the US: "Intent to Use", "Actual Use" or in
connection to a foreign application or registration. If currently
you are not using your trademark and you don't have a foreign
application/registration, then we will file your trademark as
"Intent to Use". In this case, we will need to show usage of the
mark within 6 months of receiving a Notice of Allowance from the US
Trademark Office. This Statement of Use has a cost of Euro300 first
class and Euro150 additional class.
Documents required
from clients
1. One (1) soft copy of the trademark;
2. Two (2) specimens of use;
3. A detailed list of products or services to be
covered and the class(es) to be registered in the application;
4. A copy of Certificate of Incorporation or Business
Registration Certificate or anything of similar nature which shows
the name and address of the applicant. A copy of passport and recent
residential address proof in case the applicant is an individual;
5. Date of first use in USA or anywhere else;
6. A priority document when priority is claimed. The
document can be filed within 6 months after the filing date of the
application;
7. An original copy of the signed Power of Attorney.
The Power of Attorney will be prepared by us for clients’ signing.
Note: Regarding the specimens of use,
for goods mark, the specimens must clearly show name of product on
product itself (pamphlet, polaroid picture of product, product
packaging, website advertising).
For services mark, they must clearly
show the name of the company and current address (such as
newspaper/yellow page advertising or website advertising).
Timescale
Currently it is taking approximately 12-18 months to
get a trademark registered in USA for smooth applications.
Validity of the
Trademark
The trademark is valid for ten (10)
years from the registration date, then renewable. |
